Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology
Anthem College partners with UNET & CMT to deliver an Australian Government accredited CERTIFICATE IV course in Ministry and Theology. Anthem College, in partnership with UNET & CMT, provides a unique balance of leadership education, theological study and practical experience to equip you to thrive in real world church ministry environments.
All participants have 18 months to complete the Cert IV. in order to complete the Cert IV within the Calendar year, participants will need to commit 12-15 hours of study per week over and above the lectures. The subjects are designed by some of the great Pentecostal theologians in recent times
including David Cartlege and Gerald Rowlands.
COURSE UNITS
The following units are part of the Certificate IV Course facilitated by Anthem College.

NAT11237001 Apply knowledge of the Bible
This unit explores how the Bible speaks into today’s world and equips you to bring its message to life in contemporary contexts. You’ll begin by deepening your understanding of the pivotal events, themes, and people of both the Old and New
Testaments. -
NAT11237003 Develop and apply knowledge of key Christian beliefs
Uncover and examine the foundations of Christianity and build a deeper understanding of its core beliefs. You’ll explore the incarnation of Jesus as God, the death and resurrection of Christ, and the power of salvation! -
NAT11237008 Use Christian spiritual practices to support own personal development
This unit offers exploration of Christian practices related to Faith and Prayer. You will reflect on how faith and prayer resonate in your own
relationship with God and
personal journey as a Christian. -
NAT11237002 Interpret biblical texts
This unit explores the historical and literary context of biblical writings and reflects on how these texts resonate in today's world. You'll learn to examine key considerations for interpretation, select credible resources for research and consider the impact of own personal circumstances on the interpretation of biblical texts.

Embark on a thought-provoking journey into Biblical worldview frameworks and theories, examining their application to real-world dilemmas. Analyse complex issues with precision, while considering the intersection of biblical and theological beliefs with ethical decision-making.

TheologyThese two units are designed to work together, since the skills you’ll develop are often applied side by side in real-world setting.

leadership skillsThis unit explores Leadership & Ministry. It will equip you with an
understanding of the Ministry Gifts, what Successful Christian
Leadership looks like. It will also
focus on Confronting the
Challenge of Change which is
essential for leading in this
generation. -
NAT11238007 Explain & discuss the person & work of the Holy Spirit
This unit explores the Person & Work of the Holy Spirit. You will learn how to build a relationship with Him and how He functions. Students will gain insight into His Manifestations and how to steward the gifts of the Spirit.
TIMETABLE
The program runs concurrent to the Qld school terms. Students must commit to attend all sessions with no more than a total of four (4) absentee days in the year.

ADDITIONAL COURSE REQUIREMENTS
In addition to weekly studies and ministry experience we also ask require to participate in the following extra curricular activities.
CHURCH INVOLVEMENT
As a large part of the training and assessment is practical Anthem College students are expected to attend and serve in the local church. This will mean that each student will be expected to:
Attend and serve one (1) Sunday service a week
Commit to be actively involved in a Connect Group
Commit to a minimum two (2) years at their current local church
MINISTRY PLACEMENT
Throughout the course of the year you will be given ministry placement in the local church. Real world leadership responsibility will be given and training will be provided. Grow in the following:

LITERACY & TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
LITERACY REQUIREMENTS
Students will need to demonstrate a year 12 study equivalent before acceptance and complete CMT enrollment.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
Students are required to bring their own laptop or tablet to class as many lectures will require internet access which will be provided. Students will need to have a basic understanding of how to use word processing software and the internet.
